Does EcoWasher® replace laundry detergent?
Yes. EcoWasher® is made to wash without laundry detergent and without hot water. Reviewers describe skipping detergent, fabric softener, and bleach on everyday loads. A few still treat extra-heavy greasy work clothes with a stain stick or detergent — that is their extra step.
Will it work with my current washer?
It attaches to your existing washing machine. Source install time is about 10 minutes / installs in minutes. The source pages do not publish a washer-brand compatibility chart, so we do not invent one.
Is it lab tested?
Independent lab testing verifies that EcoWasher® removes up to 100% of laundry-spread bacteria in just 5 minutes without the use of any toxic chemicals or bleach products.*

What’s the difference between SE and Pro?
EcoWasher® SE (SKU EW-SE) is the latest model: $397 (regular $597), 15 x 8 x 3 inches, digital LCD touch-control, stainless steel auxiliary hose. EcoWasher® Pro (SKU EW-PRO2) is the original laundry system: $337 (regular $397), 16.5" x 8" x 6.5", no LCD or sprayer listed. Same listed power and ozone range. Same 1 Year warranty (Registration Required).
Do I need hot water?
No. Set the washer to cold. No hot water required.
Does SE work with well water or hard water?
SE source list: “Works with City and Hard/Well Water*.” The page does not print a footnote for that asterisk. Pro does not list this line, so we do not claim it for Pro.
Is there a spray hose?
Yes on EcoWasher® SE (stainless steel auxiliary hose / multi-use utility hose and sprayer). Not listed for EcoWasher® Pro.

What’s in the Pro box?
The Pro source page does not itemize box contents. Confirmed: the EcoWasher® Pro unit, plus a downloadable user manual.
What is the warranty?
1 Year (Registration Required); 2 Year for EcoWasher® EXL (Registration Required).
Will it work with a front-load washer?
Yes. It works with any top-load or front-load washer, HE or standard.
Does SE fit a tight laundry closet?
SE is the smallest cabinet in the line, at about 15 × 8 × 3 inches. You still need a clear wall strip for the bracket.
Which EcoWasher® should most people buy?
For a typical household that wants an on-unit LCD and a stainless spray hose, SE is the usual pick. If those extras don’t matter to you, Pro is the lower-priced residential option. EXL is for heavy or commercial-style volume.
Is Pro an upgrade from SE?
No. Pro is the original residential model without an LCD or spray hose; SE adds those two features. They are alternatives, not steps on a single upgrade path.
Does EXL have a screen or a hose?
EXL has a stainless auxiliary hose but no LCD screen. The LCD comes with SE.
Is EXL right for a normal home?
Usually not. It is made for heavy volume. Most homes do well with SE or Pro.
Is EXL only for businesses?
No. It is built for businesses and for active families with heavy, repeated loads.
Do I need bleach or fabric softener?
No. EcoWasher® is built so normal loads need no bleach or softener. Everyday loads also need no detergent.
Do I still need bleach for white clothes?
For normal loads, no. EcoWasher® is built so everyday loads need no bleach. Tough stains may still need extra care.
Will my whites get brighter?
Results depend on the fabric, the soil, and the water. We do not promise a set level of whiteness.
Can I wash colors with my whites?
Keep them apart. Dye can move onto white fabric in any wash.
Can I still use hot water sometimes?
Yes. Your washer still has its hot settings. They just are not required for everyday loads.
What happens to the ozone after the wash?
It returns to ordinary oxygen. Cold water is the intended path.
Can I spot treat without any detergent?
For ordinary fresh marks, many people use the SE hose to apply ozone-treated water to the spot before washing. Set-in or oily stains may still need specialty treatment.
Why do my towels smell even right after washing?
Common causes are slow drying, overloaded drums, and buildup from detergent, softener, and scent boosters. Fully drying towels and easing off added products are good first steps.
What about shipping and returns?

Do Mini X2 or Ultra need HEPA or carbon filters?
No. Both are filter-free — no replaceable HEPA/carbon cartridges as the ongoing ownership cost. Follow each user guide for placement and settings.
Is Mini X2 or Ultra better overall?
Neither is a universal upgrade. Mini X2 wins for one primary room, portability, and price. Ultra wins for whole-home / whole-floor coverage and heavier household odor or smoke volume. Match the footprint first.
How far does one Ultra reach?
The maker rates it for up to about 3,000 sq ft. Walls and layout still matter.
Can one Ultra replace all my purifiers?
It can for many open homes. Closed doors can limit airflow, so a closed room may need its own unit.
Can one Ultra cover a two-story house?
Ultra is rated for up to about 3,000 sq ft of open floor area. Separate floors and closed doors change real-world reach, so many two-story homes place Ultra on the main level and add a Mini X2 upstairs.
Is Mini X2 enough for my whole house?
No. It covers up to about 650 sq ft. For a whole floor, look at Ultra.
Where is the best place for a whole-home air purifier?
A central, open spot on the floor where you spend the most time, with some clearance from walls and furniture. Avoid corners, closets, and spots hidden behind objects.
How far from the wall should it sit?
Leave a few inches to a few feet of open space so intake and output are not blocked. Exact distance depends on your room; the goal is clear airflow around the unit.
What does sleep mode do?
It is meant for quiet running at night. Check the user manual for how to turn it on.
How loud is it?
The site describes it as quiet with a sleep mode. We do not give decibel numbers.
Can I run Mini X2 in the car or from a power bank?
Mini X2 is USB powered and is described for use in a vehicle. Plug it into a USB port or a power bank and place it where it won’t slide around or be blocked. Check the user manual for power details.
Should people stay home while Ultra runs?
Ultra is made for occupied homes on its normal setting. Use higher settings only as the user guide says, with the space empty.
Can I run Ultra while I paint?
Wait until the job is done. During painting, focus on open windows and fans.
Will SafeAir treat allergies or illness?
