EcoWasher® EXL for Heavy Loads: Who Actually Needs It?

Laundry · Model help

← Back home

Short answer: EcoWasher® EXL is for heavy, repeated laundry — busy homes, rentals, salons, and other high-volume rooms — not the default pick for a light weekly load.

If you searched “EcoWasher EXL,” “commercial ozone laundry,” or “ozone laundry for heavy loads,” this is the calm who-it’s-for guide (and when Pro is enough).

What “heavy loads” means here

Think stacks that keep coming: towels for a salon, bedding for a short-term rental, sports gear for a big household, or laundry rooms that barely cool down between cycles. That rhythm is where EcoWasher® EXL is aimed — commercial-strength features for repeated use, not a flashier cabinet for the same quiet weekend load.

EXL vs Pro (the useful fork)

• Pro — laundry-first, lowest sale price, solid everyday ozone laundry. No auxiliary spray hose listed. 1-year registered warranty.
• EXL — stainless auxiliary hose plus an EXL-only desiccant dryer cartridge to help keep the unit’s internals freer from excess moisture through heavy, repeated use. About 16 × 10.5 × 3.5 in, ~8 lb. 2-year registered warranty.

Same idea as other EcoWasher® models: cold supply through the unit into your washer. Same listed ozone range (0.5–1.0 mg/L) and power band. The decision is volume and features — not “does ozone laundry work.”

Public manufacturer messaging references independent lab testing for laundry-spread bacteria reduction in a short timed wash — without toxic chemicals or bleach products.

Choose EXL if…

• Your laundry room runs most days, not once or twice a week
• You want the hose + desiccant package and the longer registered warranty
• You are buying for a small business or a very active family, not a starter setup
